Subtropical Metropolis is Rivermouth's first ever full-length concept album. We've been wanting to put on a launch gig for months, but our keyboardist Geoff is still overseas, so for now, we're putting on a special outdoor riverside poetry session as a sneaky prerelease event on the afternoon of Sunday, 6 December in West End.

Jo will be sharing album tracks as a capella spoken word pieces, so this is your chance to get your ear-holes around all the lyrics before listening to the full album. Tickets are strictly capped for an intimate gig. Each entry ticket includes one of our custom wooden USBs of Subtropical Metropolis (which are not publicly available for sale yet, and which will retail for $30).

Where: Ryan St, West End (exact address to be advised via the email you provide)
When: Sunday, 6 December, doors at 5pm for 5:30pm start (roughly an hour of poetry)
BYO snacks, drinks and picnic blankets if you wish!

All-ages event. Access is via a sloped grassy lawn which might be difficult for some people with impaired mobility, but let us know via email if you have concerns and we'll facilitate making sure you can attend.

This is an outdoor poetry session, so there's a chance we might have to reschedule at short notice if there's a really heavy storm, but we're all about rolling with intense weather, which means we'll probably go ahead even if it's a bit wet...
